Mukhtasar Bukhari

Narrated from Ummul Momineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that she bought a cushion which had pictures on it. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw it, he stood at the door and did not enter the house. (Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, says) When I saw the expression of displeasure on the blessed face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I repent before Allah and His Messenger. What sin have I committed?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is this cushion?" I replied, "I bought it for you so that you may sit on it and lean against it." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those who make these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them, 'Give life to what you have created.'" Furthermore, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The angels do not enter a house in which there are pictures."
