Hadith 937
Narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him): (On one occasion) on the day of ‘Ashura, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) appointed a man to announce this: “(Today) whoever has eaten something should not eat any more, and whoever has not eaten should (make the intention of fasting and) keep the fast.”
