Hadith 916
Narrated Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him):
A Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and pledged allegiance to him for Islam. Then the next day he came suffering from fever and said, "Take back your pledge." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) refused three times. Then he said: "Medina is like a furnace; it removes impurities and retains what is good and pure."
