Hadith 817
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that the very first act which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did upon arriving in Mecca was that he performed ablution, then performed Tawaf, and at that time, only performing Tawaf did not constitute Umrah. Then the Commander of the Faithful Abu Bakr Siddiq and our master Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with them both) also performed Hajj in the same manner.

Hadith 818
The hadith regarding Tawaf narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) has just been mentioned (see the chapter: Upon arriving in Makkah, it is Sunnah to kiss the Black Stone and perform ramal in the first three circuits of the initial Tawaf...). In this narration, it is further stated that after performing Tawaf, he would offer two rak'ahs, then perform Sa'i between Safa and Marwah.
