Hadith 790
The hadith of Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) regarding Hajj has already been mentioned (see the Book: Statement of Menstruation... Chapter: Concerning the Issues of Menstruation When a Woman is Menstruating...). And here in this narration, she says that we set out (from Madinah) in the months of Hajj, during the nights of Hajj, in the state of Ihram for Hajj. Then we stopped at (the place) Sarif. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to his companions and said: “Whoever among you does not have a sacrificial animal with him and wishes to perform Umrah with this Ihram, let him do so. And whoever has a sacrificial animal with him, let him not do so.” Umm al-Mu’minin says, so some of the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) acted upon this command and some did not. She further says that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and some of his companions had the means and ability, and those who had sacrificial animals with them were not able to perform Umrah (i.e., they could not exit Ihram after Umrah), and then she narrated the rest of the hadith.
