Hadith 651
Narrated Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): (Once) the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed by a woman who was sitting and weeping at a grave. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to her: "Fear Allah and be patient." She replied, "Go away from me, for you have not been afflicted with a calamity like mine." Later, it was said to her that he was the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (and you have replied to him so disrespectfully). So she came to the door of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (she thought there would be guards at the door of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but) she did not find any guards at his door. Then she said, "I did not recognize you (that is why I replied disrespectfully, now I will be patient)." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Patience is at the first stroke of calamity."
