Hadith 638
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) informed about the death of Najashi on the day he passed away. So the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to the place of prayer, arranged the people in rows, and said four takbirs, that is, he offered the funeral prayer in absentia.

Hadith 639
Narrated Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): (During the time when the Battle of Mu'tah was taking place, on one of those days) the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said (to us): "(At this moment) Zaid took the flag and he was martyred, then Ja'far took the flag and he was martyred, then Abdullah bin Rawahah took the flag and he was martyred, and the eyes of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were flowing (with tears due to excessive weeping). Then Khalid bin Walid took the flag without being appointed as commander, and victory was granted at his hands."
