Hadith 636
Umm al-'Ala, an Ansari woman (narrates that she) had pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace be upon him) (on Islam), that the Muhajirun cast lots among themselves (for the division by the Ansar), and our lot fell to 'Uthman bin Maz'un (may Allah be pleased with him), so we hosted him in our house. Then he fell ill with the illness in which he passed away. When he died, and he had been washed and shrouded in his clothes, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came. I said, "O Abu Sa'ib! May Allah's mercy be upon you. My testimony for you is that Allah has honored you." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "How do you know that Allah has honored him?" I replied, "O Messenger of Allah! May my father be sacrificed for you. (I said this because) if Allah does not honor him, then who will He honor?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Indeed, he has died (in a good state), and I also hope for good for him, but by Allah, I do not know, though I am Allah's Messenger, what will be done with me." Umm al-'Ala says, "After that, I never testified to anyone's purity."

Hadith 637
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): When my father was martyred in the (battle of Uhud), I would repeatedly remove the cloth from his face and weep, and people would stop me, but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not stop me. Then my paternal aunt Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) also began to weep, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whether you weep or not, the angels continued to shade him with their wings until you lifted him (from the battlefield)."
