Hadith 568
Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) recited aloud in the prayer of eclipse (Salat al-Kusuf). Then, when he finished his recitation, he said the takbir and performed ruku‘ (bowing), and when he raised his head from ruku‘, he said: “Sami‘a Allahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa laka al-hamd.” Then he began reciting again (but this was only) in the prayer of eclipse, i.e., the prayer for the eclipse (Salat al-Kusuf), that he (peace be upon him) did this. Thus, in this prayer, within two rak‘ahs, there were four ruku‘ and four sujud (prostrations).
