Mukhtasar Bukhari

Narrated by Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would wait on the day of Eid al-Fitr until the day had risen, and then he would eat a few dates (i.e., before the Eid prayer). In another narration, it is mentioned that he (peace and blessings be upon him) would eat an odd number of dates.
