Hadith 495
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever takes a bath on Friday, purifies himself as much as he can, then applies oil to his hair or uses the perfume of his house, then goes out (for the Friday prayer), and does not separate two people (sitting in the mosque), then prays as much as is written for him, then remains silent when the Imam delivers the sermon, his sins between this Friday and the previous Friday will be forgiven."

Hadith 496
Sayedna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was asked that people say the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perform ghusl (ritual bath) on Friday and wash your heads thoroughly, even if you are not in a state of janabah (major impurity), and use perfume." Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) replied that as for ghusl, yes (I also know that the Prophet, peace be upon him, commanded it), but as for perfume, I do not know.
