Hadith 485
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever eats from this plant, i.e., garlic, should not come near our mosque and should not meet us." The narrator (Ata) says: I asked, "Which type of garlic is meant?" Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "I only know that it refers to raw garlic or the smell of garlic."

Hadith 486
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever eats garlic or onion should keep away from us," or he said, "should keep away from our mosque and stay at home." And once, a pot containing some cooked vegetables was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he perceived an odor in it. He asked, "What is in it?" All the vegetables in it were mentioned to him. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Bring it closer to some of my companions who are with me." When he saw that the companion also disliked eating those vegetables, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "You eat, for I converse with whom you do not converse."
