Hadith 469
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when (his father Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) would sit in prayer, he would sit cross-legged. I also sat in the same way. I was young in those days, so (my father) Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) forbade me and said that the correct way of prayer is that you should raise your right foot and fold your left. Upon this, I said, "You (i.e., Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) also do the same." He replied, "My feet (have become weak and) cannot bear my weight."

Hadith 470
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Humayd As-Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him):
I remember the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) better than any of you. I saw that when he said the takbir (of opening), he raised both his hands up to the level of his shoulders. And when he bowed for ruku’, he placed both his hands firmly on his knees, then bent his back. And when he raised his head (from ruku’), he stood up straight until every bone returned to its place. And when he prostrated, he placed both his hands on the ground, neither spreading them out nor gathering them in, and he turned the toes of his feet towards the qiblah. Then, when he sat after two rak’ahs, he sat on his left foot and kept his right foot upright. Then, when he sat in the last rak’ah, he brought his left foot forward and kept his right foot upright and sat on his buttocks.
