Hadith 429
Narrated from Sayyida Asma bint Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with her), the hadith regarding the prayer of eclipse has already been mentioned. (See Hadith: Book: Statement of Knowledge... Chapter: The person who answered a fatwa by gesture of hand or head...). In this narration, she says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "At that time, Paradise came so close to me that if I had dared, I would have brought one of its bunches to you, and Hell also came close to me until I said, 'O my Lord! Will I be included among these people?' Suddenly, my gaze fell upon a woman." I think the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A cat was scratching her. I asked, 'What happened to her?' The people said that she had tied up the cat until it died of hunger. This (woman) neither fed it nor let it go so that it could eat the insects of the earth (like mice, etc.)." (Nafi' was doubtful whether it was 'khushaysh' or 'khushash al-ard' that was said.)
