Hadith 326
`Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that` they were sitting with the Commander of the Faithful, ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), when he said, “Who among you remembers the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the trial (fitnah)?” I said, “I remember it exactly as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said it.” The Commander of the Faithful, ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), said, “Then relate it.” So I said, “The trial that befalls a man concerning his wife, his wealth, and his children is expiated by prayer, fasting, charity, enjoining good, and forbidding evil.” The Commander of the Faithful, ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), said, “I do not mean this, but rather the trial which will surge like the waves of the sea.” Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “O Commander of the Faithful! You have nothing to fear from that trial, for there is a closed door between you and it.” The Commander of the Faithful, ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), said, “Will the door be broken or opened?” Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, “It will be broken.” Then the Commander of the Faithful, ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), said, “Then it will never be closed again.” Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked, “Did ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) know what the door was?” He said, “Yes, just as you know that night follows day.” (Sayyiduna Hudhayfah, may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a hadith that was not mistaken. So he was asked about the door, and he said, “The door was the Commander of the Faithful, Sayyiduna ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).”

Hadith 327
Narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): A man kissed a (non-mahram) woman, then he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and informed him about it. So Allah, the Most Great and Exalted, revealed this verse: "Establish prayer at the two ends of the day and in some hours of the night. Indeed, good deeds erase bad deeds." The man said, "O Messenger of Allah! Is this only for me?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "It is for my entire Ummah."
