Hadith 289
Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says that when the verses of Surah Al-Baqarah regarding usury were revealed, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) went towards the mosque and recited these verses before the people. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) prohibited the trade of alcohol.
