Hadith 185
Narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ghusl after janabah, he would first wash his hands, then perform wudu as he did for prayer, then insert his fingers into the water and run them through the roots of his hair, then pour three handfuls of water over his head with both hands, and then pour water over his entire body.

Hadith 186
Umm al-Mu’minin Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution (wudu) as he would for prayer, except for washing both feet, and he washed his private parts and wherever impurity had touched, then poured water over himself. After that, he moved both his feet from that place and washed them. This was the way the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the ritual bath (ghusl) after major impurity (janabah).
