Mukhtasar Bukhari

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man stood in the mosque and said, "O Messenger of Allah! From which place do you command us to assume Ihram?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The people of Madinah should assume Ihram from Dhu'l-Hulaifah, the people of Sham from Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn." Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said, people think that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also said that the people of Yemen should assume Ihram from Yalamlam. And Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to say that I did not hear this clearly and explicitly from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
