Hadith 98
`Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say that` people say that Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) has memorized and narrated many hadiths, and if these two verses were not in the Book of Allah, I would not narrate even a single hadith. Then he would recite: "Indeed, those who conceal the clear proofs and guidance We have sent down... Most Merciful, Most Compassionate." (Al-Baqarah: 159, 160) Surely, our Muhajir brothers were occupied with buying and selling in the markets, and our Ansari brothers were busy with their wealth and work, and Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) would stay with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to fill his stomach, and he would be present at times when others were not present, and he would remember things that others would not remember.

Hadith 99
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I hear many hadiths from you but I forget them." So he said, "Spread your cloak." So I spread my cloak, and he scooped with both his hands (and made a symbolic gesture as if pouring something into the cloak), then said, "Wrap it around yourself." So I wrapped it around myself, and after that I never forgot anything.

Hadith 100
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): I memorized two vessels (of knowledge, two types of knowledge) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). As for one of them, I have made it public; but if I were to disclose the other, my neck would be cut.
