Hadith 41
Narrated by Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "Whoever says 'La ilaha illallah' and in his heart there is goodness (i.e., faith) equal to a grain of barley, he will come out of Hell. Whoever says 'La ilaha illallah' and in his heart there is goodness (i.e., faith) equal to a grain of wheat, he will come out of Hell. And whoever says 'La ilaha illallah' and in his heart there is goodness (i.e., faith) equal to the smallest particle, he will come out of Hell."

Hadith 42
It is narrated from Amir al-Mu'minin Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Jew said to him, "O Amir al-Mu'minin! There is an ayah in your Book (i.e., the Qur'an) which you recite. If it had been revealed to us, that is, to the Jews, we would have taken the day (on which it was revealed) as a festival." Amir al-Mu'minin asked, "Which ayah is that?" The Jew replied, "This ayah: 'Today I (Allah) have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.' (Al-Ma'idah: 3)" Upon hearing this, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Indeed, we remember the day and the place in which this ayah was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace be upon him) was standing in 'Arafah on that day, and it was a Friday."
