If someone breaks fast in Ramadan and then the sun appears, what should he do?

Sayyida Asma bint Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Once during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), we broke our fast on a cloudy day (because we could not accurately determine the time), and then the sun appeared afterwards.
