Mukhtasar Bukhari

Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): (One day) while we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a man came to him and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I am ruined." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "What happened?" He said, "I had intercourse with my wife while I was fasting." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Can you free a slave?" He replied, "No." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Can you feed sixty poor people?" He replied, "No." (Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, says) Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) paused. While we were in this state, someone brought a basket made of palm leaves filled with dates to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Where is the questioner?" He replied, "Here I am." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Take this basket and give it in charity." He said, "O Messenger of Allah! Should I give it to someone poorer than myself? By Allah, there is no household between the two rocky plains of Madinah that is more in need than my household." Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed so much that his blessed teeth became visible, then he said, "Alright! Then feed it to your own family."
