Narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) went out (on the day of Eid from the men's rows towards the women) and Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) thought that (perhaps) the women had not (properly) heard the sermon, so he advised them and instructed them to give charity. So (some) women started giving their earrings and (some) their rings (and some other things), and Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) began collecting them in the corner of his garment.
