Mukhtasar Bukhari

Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says that one day in the morning I took the newborn son of Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him), Abdullah, to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) so that he (peace and blessings be upon him) could perform tahnik for him, that is, chew a date and put it in his mouth. I found the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in such a state that he (peace and blessings be upon him) had a branding iron in his hand and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was branding the camels given in charity with it.
