Mukhtasar Bukhari

The hadith of Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) and the mention of sending him to Yemen has already been mentioned (see the chapter: The obligation of Zakat is established from the Shariah...). Here, in this narration, it is stated that (the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said): "(O Mu'adh!) Also inform them that Allah Almighty has made Zakat obligatory upon them, which will be taken from their wealthy and distributed among their poor. If they accept this from you, then do not take the best of their wealth (as Zakat), and beware of the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between it and Allah Almighty."
