Mukhtasar Bukhari

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Angel of Death was sent to Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him). When he came, Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him) struck him such a blow that one of his eyes was gouged out. The angel returned to his Lord and said, "You have sent me to a servant who does not want to die." Allah Almighty restored his eye and commanded him to go back to Musa (peace be upon him) and say: "Place your hand on the back of an ox; for every hair that comes under your hand, you will be granted one year of life." (So the angel came and conveyed the message of Allah to Musa, peace be upon him.) He said, "O Lord! (When all those years have passed) what will happen then?" Allah Almighty said, "Then death will come." He said, "Let it be now." Then he prayed to Allah Almighty: "Bring me close to the Holy Land, as much as a stone's throw." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) after narrating this said: "If I were there, I would show you the grave of Musa (peace be upon him) by the side of the road, near the red sand hill."
