'(It is narrated from Sa'id al-Maqburi, may Allah have mercy on him)' During a funeral, Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, took Marwan's hand and they both sat down before the bier was placed. At that very moment, Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, came and took Marwan's hand and said, "Stand up! Indeed, he (Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him) knows that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade us from this." So Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, said, "He speaks the truth."
