`Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both)` would not perform the Duha (forenoon) prayer except on the day when he went to Makkah, because he would reach Makkah at the time of Duha. So, after performing Tawaf of the Ka'bah, he would pray two rak'ahs behind Maqam Ibrahim, and on the day when he went to Masjid Quba (he would also perform the Duha prayer on that day). And he would go to Masjid Quba every week, so when he entered the mosque, he disliked to leave it without performing prayer. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to state that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to visit Masjid Quba riding and on foot. (Nafi' says that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both)) used to say: I do as I have seen my friends doing, and I do not prevent anyone from praying at night or during the day whenever he wishes, except that he should not intend to pray at the time of sunrise or at the time of sunset.
