‘Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) says that he performed prayer with the Commander of the Faithful, Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), in Basra, so the Commander of the Faithful, Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), reminded us of the prayer which we used to perform with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then (Sayyiduna Imran, may Allah be pleased with him) said that when he would stand up and when he would bow down, he would say the takbir (that is, Allahu Akbar).
