Mukhtasar Bukhari

Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "Allah guarantees for the person who goes out in His path (for jihad), and nothing drove him out except faith in Allah and belief in His messengers, that either I (i.e., Allah) will return him with the reward and (war) booty that he obtained in jihad, or I will admit him into Paradise (as a martyr). And (the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said) if I did not find it hard for my ummah, I would never stay behind from any expedition (i.e., a battle in which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not participate), and I (i.e., the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) certainly love that I be killed in the path of Allah, then brought back to life, then killed again, then brought back to life, then killed again."
