Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to offer the Fajr prayer at such a time that each of us could recognize the person sitting next to him. In it, he would recite between sixty and one hundred verses. He used to offer the Zuhr prayer when the sun had just declined (from its zenith), and the Asr prayer at such a time that one of us could go to the outskirts of Madinah and return, but the sun would still be shining brightly. The narrator (Abu Minhal) says: And regarding Maghrib, I forgot what was said. And as for delaying the Isha prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not mind delaying it up to one-third of the night. After that, the narrator said: up to half the night.
