Mukhtasar Bukhari

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "Which deed is most beloved to Allah?" He replied, "Prayer, which is performed at its proper time." I then asked, "After that, which one?" He (peace be upon him) said, "After that, obedience to parents." I asked again, "After that, which one?" He (peace be upon him) said, "Striving in the way of Allah." Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned to me only this much, and if I had asked him for more, he would have told me more.
