Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) would make his mount sit crosswise and would pray facing it. (Ubaidullah, the narrator, asked Nafi', the narrator) that when the mounts would go away to graze (then what would the Prophet, peace be upon him, do?) He replied that the Prophet (peace be upon him) would take the saddle, then would pray towards its rear part or (he said) towards its last part, and Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would do the same.
