Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The prayer in congregation is superior in reward by twenty-five (25) degrees to the prayer offered at home or in the market, because when one of you performs ablution and does it well, and then goes to the mosque with the sole intention of offering prayer, then for every step he takes, Allah raises him one degree and forgives him one sin, until he enters the mosque. When he enters, he is considered to be in prayer as long as the prayer keeps him there, and the angels continue to pray for him as long as he remains at the place where he offered the prayer. The angels pray: "O Allah! Forgive his sins. O Allah! Have mercy on him." (This prayer continues) as long as he does not lose his ablution.
