Mukhtasar Bukhari

Lady Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Young women, women in seclusion, and menstruating women should go out and be present in gatherings of goodness and in the supplications of the Muslims, and the menstruating women should stay away from the place of prayer." It was asked, "Should menstruating women (also participate)?" So Lady Umm Atiyyah said, "Do not menstruating women attend such and such works at Arafah?"
