Hadith 2117

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty says: Whoever shows enmity to My friend, I declare war against him. And nothing is more beloved to Me by which My servant draws near to Me than what I have made obligatory upon him. And My servant continues to draw near to Me through supererogatory acts until I love him. And when I love him, I become his hearing with which he hears, his sight with which he sees, his hand with which he grasps, and his foot with which he walks. And if he asks Me (for anything), I surely grant it to him, and if he seeks refuge with Me, I surely grant him refuge. And I do not hesitate in anything as I hesitate in taking the soul of the believer; he dislikes death and I dislike to displease him."
