Narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said among other Qudsi narrations: “Allah Almighty has written down good deeds and bad deeds and has made it clear which is a good deed and which is a bad deed. So whoever intends to do a good deed but does not do it, Allah will write a complete good deed in his record. And whoever intends to do a good deed and then does it, Allah will write for him ten to seven hundred good deeds, or even more, as much as He wills. And whoever intends to do a bad deed but refrains from doing it (out of fear of Allah), Allah will write a complete good deed for him. And whoever intends to do a bad deed and then does it, only one sin will be written for him.”
