Sayyiduna Salman bin Amir Ad-Dabbi (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Aqiqah for a boy is (obligatory); shed blood on his behalf and remove harm from him."
