Allah’s saying: “Such is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the towns while they are doing wrong...” (Surah Hud: 102)

Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah gives respite to the wrongdoers, but when He seizes them, He does not let them go." After that, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recited this verse: "Such is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the towns while they are doing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe." (Surah Hud: 102)
