Mukhtasar Bukhari

´Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that` Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that among all of us, Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) is the greatest reciter, and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) is the best judge, and we do not accept one statement of Sayyiduna Ubayy (may Allah be pleased with him). He says that I will not abandon the recitation of any verse of the Qur'an which I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and indeed in the Qur'an Allah Himself says: "Whatever verse We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring a better one or similar to it..." (Surah Al-Baqarah: 118)
