Mukhtasar Bukhari

Umm al-Mu'mineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I used to hear (from the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, before his illness) that no prophet passes away until he is given the choice (by Allah) between (the comforts of) this world and the Hereafter. Then I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) during the illness in which he passed away, his voice had become hoarse, and he was reciting this verse: "With those upon whom Allah has bestowed His favor..." the complete verse (Surah An-Nisa: 69). So from this, I understood that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had chosen to remain in the Hereafter.
