Mukhtasar Bukhari

Narrated Al-Bara' (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent us with Khalid bin Al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) towards Yemen. Then, in his place, he sent Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "Tell those who went with Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that whoever among them wishes to go with you (Ali), let him go to Yemen (and participate in Jihad), and whoever wishes to return to Madinah, let him return." I was among those who went with Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) towards Yemen. Then, from the spoils of war, I received many uqiyah as my share.
