Hadith 1533

Narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyidah Fatimah al-Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her) developed marks on her hands from grinding (grain), so she complained about it. At that time, prisoners had come to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so she went to him, but did not find him, so she mentioned (about a servant) to Umm al-Mu’minin Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) and then left. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) informed him that Sayyidah Fatimah al-Zahra (may Allah be pleased with her) had come. So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to us when we were lying down (in our beds). I wanted to get up, but he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Stay in your place,” and he sat down between us, until I felt the coolness of his feet on my chest. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Shall I not tell you something better than what you asked me for (i.e., a servant)? When you go to your bed, say Allahu Akbar thirty-four times, Subhan Allah thirty-three times, and Alhamdulillah thirty-three times. This is better for you than a servant.”
