Narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked for a vessel of water, so a wide-mouthed, shallow bowl was brought before him in which there was some water. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) put his fingers into it. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I was watching the water gushing forth from between the fingers of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) like a spring. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I estimated the people who performed ablution with that water, and they were between seventy and eighty.
