Mukhtasar Bukhari

Narrated from Ummul Momineen Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was given a choice between two matters, he would choose the easier of the two, as long as it was not sinful. If it was sinful, he would keep away from it more than anyone else. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) never took revenge for his own sake, but when the limits of Allah were transgressed, he would take revenge for the sake of Allah.
