Mukhtasar Bukhari

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "(Among the people before you) there was a man who was about to die. When he lost hope in his life, he instructed his family that when I die, gather a lot of wood, then light a fire (and put me in it). When the fire eats my flesh and reaches my bones, and the bones are also burnt and become coal, then take the bones and grind them well. Then, on the day when a strong wind blows, keep watching, on that day scatter the ashes in the river (some will spread in the air and some in the sea)." His family did as he had instructed. Then Allah Almighty gathered his entire body and said to him: "Why did you do this?" He said: "O Lord, out of fear of You." Then Allah forgave him."
