Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A man was riding a bull when the bull turned to him and said, 'I have not been created for riding, I have been created for plowing.'" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (after narrating this incident) said: "I believe in this, and so do Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both)." And a wolf seized a sheep, so the shepherd chased after it. The wolf said, "(Today you may rescue it, but tell me) when (Medina will be deserted and) only wild beasts will remain, who will protect the sheep on that day? On that day, there will be no shepherd for it except me." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (after narrating this incident) said: "I believe in this, and so do Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both)." The narrator (Abu Salama) says that Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) said that (the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, testified on behalf of Abu Bakr and Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, even though) both of them were not present at that time.
