Mukhtasar Bukhari

Narrated Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him): I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and with me were two men from the Ash'ari tribe (they requested a position from the Prophet). I said, "I did not know that they desired any position." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "We do not give a position to anyone who asks for it. (That is, we do not appoint him as an official, nor do we give him a job)."
