Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade selling fruits before they become ripe. It was asked, "What is meant by ripe?" He replied: "Until they become red or yellow and fit for eating."
