Virtue of deeds in the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah
Hadith 1193
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الأَصَمُّ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صُدْرَانَ السَّلِيمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنِ الْفُضَيْلِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَرِيزٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "مَا مِنْ عَمَلٍ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ عَمَلٍ فِي عَشْرِ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ ، إِلا رَجُلٌ يَخْرُجُ بِمَالِهِ وَنَفْسِهِ ، ثُمَّ لا يَرْجِعُ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ أَبِي حَرِيزٍ ، إِلا فُضَيْلٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُعْتَمِرٌ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No deed is more beloved to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, than the deeds performed during the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, except for a person who goes out with his wealth and his life and returns with none of them."
